Our Story

We have, for a long time, wanted to find interesting ways to re-home garden debris.

Our garden floors are frequently adorned with fallen leaves, branches, flowers and nuts that are otherwise perfectly formed in every way. Some are so full of character that they inspire their own new identities. Press Galleria was established to transform fallen plant life into collectible art forms.
Our stars

The obvious stars of Press Galleria are the naturally dried herbaria collected from private properties and residential estates. But behind every collection is a team of bright star enthusiasts who share our nutty passion for herbaria preservation. These special friends of ours have gracefully integrated garden raking, debris sorting and species classification into their busy lifestyles, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.

It’s a labour of love when it comes to what we do. Even so, every effort is made to clean, restore and preserve fallen lives. Press Galleria uses non-toxic paints, acid-free varnishes, papers and glues in creating each object’s new identity.

Embracing Diversity

We continue to be inspired by our subject matter and modern paraphernalia for our herbarium designs. We love being influenced by literature, interior architecture and the natural environment. Australian herbaria are surrounded by a rich melting pot of heritage and modernism. It would be impossible for our creativity to not be influenced by this wonderfully eclectic cultural environment.
